How we publish
How does Medical Physicist UK create and check guidance?
Our editorial team starts with the responsible official source, separates fact from practical interpretation, labels nation and date, and corrects material errors when identified.
Who is responsible for the content?
Medical Physicist UK is published by LATITUDE60 LTD. Content is prepared and maintained by an editorial team. We do not attach fabricated clinical, academic or recruitment credentials to authors.
Which sources take priority?
- NSHCS and Oriel for England STP recruitment
- Nation-specific training bodies for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- HCPC and GOV.UK for protected-title and registration information
- NHS Employers or the relevant national body for pay
- The recruiting employer for a live vacancy
- AHCS, IPEM, RPA2000 and HSE for their own schemes or recognitions
How do we handle time-sensitive information?
We state a checked date, avoid presenting past deadlines as live and link to the official page. Recruitment schedules, post numbers, pay and interview rules are reviewed more cautiously than stable explanatory content.
How do we handle application and interview advice?
We explain official rules and provide independently written preparation material. We do not reproduce recalled interview questions or advise applicants to breach conduct rules.
- Practice prompts are labelled independently written
- Applicants are told to write supporting information personally and in their own words
- AI must not generate supporting information
- The 2026 prohibition on interview notes, AI and recording is stated where relevant
How are AI tools used editorially?
Tools may assist the editorial workflow, but factual claims are checked against named sources and the published guidance is reviewed for scope, clarity and unsupported authority. This does not change the NSHCS instruction that an applicant must not use AI to generate supporting information.
How can you challenge a claim?
Send the page, disputed wording and an official source if available. We review the claim, correct or clarify it where needed and update the checked context for material changes.
See a problem?
Help us keep time-sensitive guidance accurate.
Report the exact page and claim so the editorial team can check it against the responsible source.
